Hrund gunnsteinsdóttir

Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir, is an Icelandic thought leader, author and speaker, who brings a unique perspective to how to navigate change, lead and take better decisions in times of uncertainty and noise. A firm believer that change starts from within, Hrund has had leading roles in the areas of innovation, complex emergencies, regional economic transitions, future foresight, investments, sustainable and circular business transition, education, film making and the arts. She was the first woman to chair Iceland‘s largest public innovation fund, was the Managing Director of the Sustainability Centre Festa, has managed and consulted with the UN in Europe and Asia, advised on investment strategies and entrepreneurship in the Nordics, and designed and directed a university program in Iceland, recognised by the Nordic Council for best responding to fast changes and subsequent challenges in the work market. Hrund is a trusted mentor and advisor to leaders, businesses, universities and organisations.

With her unique approach to human intelligence and well-being, Hrund has become a leading voice on intuition, leadership and mindset change. „My focus is not on change management, but on changing mindsets, because that‘s where it all starts.“ 

Her book InnSæi – intuition in a turbulent world, is available worldwide and in 12 languages in 2024 and 2025. She is also the co-director and script writer of the documentary film InnSæi – the Power of Intuition (2016), shown worldwide on Netflix, Amazon prime and other streaming services.

Hrund serves on Yale’s International Leadership Center Advisory Council, is a Nordic Ignite Angel Ambassador, a Yale World Fellow, and was recognised by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader and Cultural Leader. Hrund is educated at the London School of Economics, University of Iceland and Harvard Kennedy School, and has taken executive leadership courses at Oxford Said Business School, Yale University and Stanford University.
