About Rupert

Biography

I support leaders and purpose driven organisations through consulting, coaching and training, to help them grow and make a lasting and positive impact on their lives and society.

In my coaching and consulting approach I offer empowering frameworks and tools that integrate leading-edge insights from psychology and management science, extensive cross-cultural experience, mindfulness and wisdom.

I am passionate about supporting you on your journey to achieve your full potential. I believe in a world where no one is left behind. I am passionate about the idea that every human being has unrealized potential which can be further developed.

Biography

I studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as music at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. As a student, I developed entrepreneurial activities, organizing concerts, and importing knitwear from Bolivia.

Starting my professional career as a product manager at Unilever, a global fast-moving consumer goods company, helped me to gain a deep understand of the dynamics in a big global cooperation.

I engaged as a volunteer for grass-roots civil-society initiatives in Uganda und Bolivia to promote social protection, and education for vulnerable children.

As a founding CEO, I transformed a small Austrian NGO to become a global civil society organisation focusing on disability inclusion in Sub-Sahara-Africa. When I decided to hand over my leadership after 27 years, the organisation was carried by 300 team members based in twelve offices in Africa and Europe, delivering programmes to promote systems change in education, health, and economic empowerment.

I served on the board of national and international social profit organisations, including Fairtrade, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, and the Platform of Public Benefit Organisations in Austria.

I was awarded a Certificate in Executive Coaching by the Academy of Executive Coaching in London, and I joined the team of trainers at Leaders of Tomorrow, a unique leadership development program for civil society, building on experiential learning and self-development.

Currently, while working as a consultant, coach, trainer and facilitator, I continue my training to become a certified counselor/psychotherapist.
